In Malayalam

My mother sent me the July *Mathrubhumi* magazine with Ammu when she visited India last month. The issue is a tribute to the Iranian director Abbas Kiarostami who died in July. Kiarostami is very famous and much beloved in India, and especially, Kerala, which has a very evolved film culture. Anyway, I was reading the magazine and the articles this evening, and one of them mentions my teacher Michael Beard’s book of translations of Kiarostami’s poems from Persian to English. I thought MCB would get a kick out of seeing his book referenced in a Malayalam magazine and took a picture of it and sent it to Michael. Here it is. They left out the definite article and calls it *Walking with Wind,* but it is all good. I am so glad you liked the death metal article, MCB.
