Most Beautiful Metro Stations

Here is a slide show of the “world’s most beautiful metro stations.”  I would like to see each one of them. I have only seen the Southwark one. In pop culture, subway stations are treated sort of like a threshold, a liminal space; if not allusively used as the “underworld,” at least metaphorically as an internal and otherworldly realm. I think this is why Ezra Pound’s poem is so apt; subway stations endow a certain other-worldliness to its inhabitants:

In a Station of the Metro

The apparition of these faces in the crowd;

Petals on a wet black bough.
