Rikki Tikki Tavi mongoose is gone!

Unbelievable, but this semester is over as of today! Exams next week and then Christmas break. I have so much grading to do, as usual. But it has been a good semester. Thank you kidlings! What you learned this semester is important but remember to think for yourself. That is really at the bottom of all education; education teaches you how to think, what questions matter, and how to ask them. Wrong questions can lead to meaningless answers even if they sound right; that is really at the bottom of everything we discussed in Linguistics and Grammar.  When you go to graduate school and do research remember to think long and hard about the right questions to ask of your research topic.  Learning becomes meaningful then.  Here is the song Rikki Tikki Tavi that I was telling you about in connection with Kipling’s story of the same name. Rikki Tikki Tavi mongoose is gone! My daughter loves the story and the song. Do well in your exams! Thanks-GD.
