My nephew’s neologisms by the river:

Sand soup — fine sand mixed with water

Sandwich — fine sand mixed with water and made into a slab (messy!)

Sand steam — fine sand thrown into water and it dissolves creating a foggy, smoky emulsion look

A linguist in the making! Webster has published the new words for 2008. Some interesting ones “edamame,” “blamestorming,” “swipeout,” “404″ and many many more.

Dayani is moping around today because her cousins have gone back to Texas. It was so lovely to have my brother and family here. Time to take D biking–will cheer her up!
